What does it mean to embody yourself fully?
Embodiment involves tapping into the deep well of wisdom that your body holds. It is a felt experience of direct & honest communication with oneself~ beyond the analytical mind.
Join Ciara & Michelle for this half day retreat where we will create space for depth, rest, & sensitive inquiry.
Through dynamic & somatic movement & breathwork, we will explore what it means to return to wholeness~ our natural state of fully embodying the self.
What is somatic movement?
Somatic movement is mindful movement that focuses on internal sensations & feelings rather than external appearances.
It is an intentionally slow practice which allows the nervous system to process & learn new patterns of being.
This type of exploratory movement also allows the body to self regulate, heal, & process emotions and experiences that are held in our deeper tissues. As we all have unique patterns of tensions, bringing curiosity & kindness as we move encourages & fosters this internal awareness.
This internal knowing then invites us to connect to the ever present natural resources both within us & around us. When we fully embody our body, we can begin to create safety, trust, & groundedness within ourselves.
We can then connect to our aliveness & our place in the greater whole. Moving through the world with greater stability & resilience.
“Awakening is not about escaping the body, but inhabiting it fully. To realize the truth is to embody it in every cell, in every breath, in every action.” ~ Adyashanti
